Went to Anna's second and third grade program at the Elementary School yesterday. The program focused on honesty, telling the story of the Emperor's Seed and the story of Abraham Lincoln. After a rendition of the stories, some of the children recited the Gettysburg Address. I cried as I remembered how blessed our nation is to have had President Lincoln. Thank God for Abraham Lincoln. God Bless America.

That Lincoln succeeded in making the Union whole was/is nothing short of a miracle. It's not as impressive as the first peaceful passing of the power, but it's still pretty incredible.
