Podcasts

There is one major reason I purchased the iphone--podcasts. I love the ideas of listening to what I want, when I want. I am not a big music listener, but I have grown to like a number of podcasts. There are a ton of LDS-related podcasts, from home-grown cultural exposes, to general conference talks, to roundtable scripture discussions. I also listen to educational technology podcasts at work in the office while I am correcting papers.
On the way to class Monday evening I listened to two talks by Elder Oaks. This talk by Elder Oaks is amazing. I will need to blog further about this talk at some time. After listening to the talks, I listened to a couple of hymns as I walked to my class. I felt the spirit so strongly and I was reminded of the power of music. Such a stark difference from talk radio, or sports radio.

P.S. I know I don't need an iphone to listen to podcasts. But what other podcast-listening device will also make phone calls, surf the web, play movies, take pictures, and fit in your pocket? Not to mention I feel like I'm in Star Trek world every time I use the cool touch screen functionality.
