Burrito anyone?

Finally went to Chipotle on Saturday. (It was just before I went to the BYU game where they crushed Pepperdine to extend their nation-best home win streak to 37 games--but that's another post--and you guys are probably more interested in Chipotle, if you had to choose between the two. . .)

Anyway, took John with me, because he loves food, and he especially loves burritos, and I've been talking to him for awhile that we need to go. It's neat to eat with a son who is as excited as me about trying new places, getting big burritos, etc.

I ordered the carnitas burrito with everything (black beans and corn salsa), including the $1.50 guacamole add-on. Gotta have the avacado. John ordered the steak with everything (mild salsa and pinto beans) and the guac. Those burritos are huge.

I liked the rice, nice flavoring.
I also like the amount of guacamole they dished out--that's a mark of a quality restaurant, don't skimp on the guacamole.
And the corn salsa was a nice touch.
I had to eat it while driving and I thought it would get all over. The way they pack it so tightly, however, prevented it from being a total mess.

Overall, great tasting burrito. I do prefer the sweet pork from Cafe Rio. I will have to try the chicken or steak next time I hit Chipotle. I will definitely return. It's far enough away that I can't make it a habit (that's good on the wallet), but I can go there when I want to spoil myself or John (we are the only burrito lovers in the family).

Afterwards, we headed to Provo. I have to tell one thing from the game. One shot from a Pepperdine player bounced around the rim for some time, and ended up stopping and resting ON TOP OF THE RIM, on that rectangular part between the hoop and the backboard. No Joke. I've never seen that before. Possession arrow went to BYU.

Go Chipotle.
And Go Cougars!
