Some great lessons from Hyrum and Anna.
At school, the children earn "money" for good behavior and such and every once and awhile they get to spend their money. When it came time for Hyrum to first spend his money (he is in kindergarden this year) he was excited as he had a boatload to spend. What did he choose? A toy? A book? No. He chose a package (regular size, not snack size) of Chips Ahoy. He saved them until he got home and shared them with the entire family.
On Halloween, Anna recieved a bag full of loot from her classmates. Amongst the candy items, she found a gummy brain, which she was sure her brothers would also love. She spent a good portion of the rest of her day trading with her peers, so that she was able to bring home not just one brain, but four--one for each of her brothers.
Great examples of giving. Hyrum and Anna are frequently thinking of others and what they can do/give to their siblings. Elizabeth exhibits this trait, too. She always want to give things to Hyrum, and is constantly concerned about his whereabouts, his well-being, etc. She sure loves him.
