Cross-reference: Jesus Christ as the Father

In Sunday's lesson about Christ we were reading in Alma 11, starting at verse 38:

38 Now Zeezrom saith again unto him: Is the Son of God the very Eternal Father?

39 And Amulek said unto him: Yea, he is the very eternal Father of heaven and of earth, and ball things which in them are; he is the beginning and the end, the first and the last;

We paused to discuss the title of "Father" as it applied to Jesus Christ. The priests were able to realize that His role as Creator made Him a Father. It occurred to me that this is a nice complement to one of my favorite scriptures, Mosiah 5:7--

7 And now, because of the covenant which ye have made ye shall be called the children of Christ, his sons, and his daughters; for behold, this day he hath spiritually begotten you; for ye say that your hearts are changed through faith on his name; therefore, ye are Born of him and have become his sons and his daughters.

This scripture expands our understanding of Christ as Father. He is our Father, spiritually speaking.

In our conversation, the bishop mentioned that Father is "one who brings to life". I like that definition. Christ "brings us to life" with regards to our spiritual re-birth through the covenant of baptism.

I am sure that there are numerous more cross-references to the Christ's role as our Father. I just hadn't stumbled upon this connection before.

What other references can add to this discussion?
