Gratitude

It's Thanksgiving month. And I was thinking a lot about my blessings last night as I was cleaning the kitchen. I had just read a friend's blog entry; and felt humbled for all that I have. So I decided to write a post about; and also pass it along. . .

25 Things for which I am grateful:

5 people (not relatives):
1. My kids' teachers at school.
2. The staff at Pioneer Valley Hospital
3. Employees at Great Harvest (they are always so cheerful and make my day)
4. The bishopric and their families
5. My co-workers

5 material things:
6. Our dishwasher.
7. The swing that Biz and Dar let us borrow.
8. Disposable diapers.
9. Hot water.
10. My cell phone.

5 intangibles:
11. Freedom of religion.
12. The kindness of strangers, especially minimum-wage workers.
13. Other people's perspectives that challenge my thinking.
14. The atonement of Jesus Christ.
15. My health.

5 ancestors:
16. Grandma Ellis (my mother's mom)
17. Charles Stewart (great-grandfather pioneer)
18. King Richard the Lion-hearted
19. Grandpa Kammerman (dad's dad)
20. Grandma Kammerman (dad's mom)

5 qualities in my spouse (or a loved one):
21. She puts God first
22. She puts her children second
23. She is wise when thinking about the needs of our children
24. She lets me do what I want (even when it's lame)
25. She is forgiving and patient.

Okay, it's your turn if you want. I would love to be inspired by your lists.
